INFLIGHT AMENITIES
Formia’s view
We asked Niklas Sandor,
chief marketing officer
at Formia about the
company’s efforts
to make amenity kits more
sustainable. “Our goal is to examine
our end-to-end processes and
conduct regular reviews of the amenity
kit ecosystem, from initial design to
post-consumer use. By doing this we aim
to understand where we can implement
ideas that will deliver a more sustainable
amenity kit solution,” he explains.
“A current trend we are exploring is
personalisation. Offering passengers a choice
of items to select from would not only provide a
more bespoke customer experience, but also lessen
wastage and weight onboard, resulting in reduced
fuel consumption,” adds Sandor.
“ We already have
various partnerships
in place that promote
plastic-free products
and more thoughtful
materials – an area
we are keen to build on”
