The new articulating plug-in tablet arm
holder being promoted by Alto Aviation
was designed with simplicity in mind.
In a strategic partnership with
MyGoFlight, Alto offers a base mount
that is 100% fit-compatible with Rosen
plug-in bases. The universal mount drops
into Rosen circular Micro D-Sub or Pogo
Pin existing bases. It is fully compatible
with all MGF device holders.
This new tablet arm articulates in
any direction and has three independent
joints that are adjustable and lockable
from a single, centrally located control
knob. This allows for partial loosening
and precise device positioning.
“As cabins continue to evolve toward
the integration of PEDs, it was a natural
extension for Alto to offer
a straightforward and
affordable tablet arm
holder that leverages
existing bases,” says
Kevin Hayes, vice
president of sales
and marketing
at Alto Aviation.
Designers looking for customised, hand-measured
mattresses should head to JetPedic’s stand. The
company offers one- and two-piece mattresses
for conference and divan beds, which come with
zippers and hinge-fold options. The hinge-fold and
vacuum compression kit allows each mattress to
become portable and light weight, allowing for easy
stowage on the aircraft.
Further customised details include specialty label
tags on each mattress and sheets at the top (head),
which are designed to make it easier to place the bed
and bedding on the aircraft. The company also offers
customised fine linens.
An LED cabin lighting system called Prizm will
be demonstrated by Elliott Technologies. The
mood lighting system offers a full spectrum
of colours, controlled through a mobile app or
existing cabin controls. It is available for upwash,
down-wash, lower accent, galley, lavatory and
cupholder installations. Pre-set mood lighting
configurations can be customised. Elliott
Technologies recently received an STC for the
system, on a Citation Excel. It says Prizm is
expandable to meet the needs of most turbinepowered
business aircraft.
The company will also display its Smart Vision
Shades – electronically dimmable inner window
panes with multiple different colours of
dimmable film. Combined with Prizm cabin
lighting, they can be controlled with an app
available on a smartphone, or with the built-in
controls. They feature individual variable control
at each window and are 99% UV blocking.
FLAMERETARDANT
FOAM
The flame-retardant foam Zotek F, made
from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF),
will be showcased by Zotefoams. The
company says the product combines a
luxury feel with outstanding fire, smoke
and toxicity ratings while delivering
weight savings of up to 50% compared
with materials such as silicone.
Zotek F has a uniform cell structure,
offering the same properties in all
directions. Its physical performance was
developed for compatibility with a wide
range of forming methods. Zotefoams
says this allows the production of
complex shapes for applications including
soft-touch interchangeable panels for
business seating, carpet
underlay and
environmental
control systems
ducting. It is also
compatible with bake
moulding processes.
CARPET DEBUT
Scott Group Studio will introduce an assortment of fresh aviation carpet
textures and patterns. The company’s
carpets are hand-crafted using natural
fibres. The exhibit will include the full
collection, available in any custom colour.
