ABOVE: The 30-19E is
a fully-electric version
of the Teletruk. It was
launched in 2019 –
22 years after the
original model
Advanced Lift-truck Technology International 2019 59
fitted. It is a traffic light-based alert
system ensuring lift or reach capacity
is not exceeded.
“The simple progressive green,
amber and red warning lights actively
manage the hydraulic speed
throughout the lift to ensure it is
stable and safe,” explains Murray.
“If 100% of the lift capability is
achieved, the light will flash amber
and progressively stop the hydraulics.”
From a single joystick, the operator
is able to control all the hydraulic
functions, as well as the Teletruk’s
direction and speed of travel that
adds to the efficiency of operating
the vehicle.
Additionally, important vehicle
performance data, such as battery life,
speed and Load Motion Control
information are all clearly visible on
the easy-to-read electronic display,
while JCB’s in-house telematics
system provides real-time
measurements of energy consumption
and machine utilization analysis.
Murray says, “The first thing you
notice about the cab is its ease of
entry, intuitive, well-positioned grab
handles, super-wide access, the high
front A-pillar so that you don’t bang
your head and the main controls
positioned at the operator’s fingertips
for comfortable, fatigue-free operation.
“We believe this machine will offer
a new generation of customers and
operators unparalleled cost and
space-saving advantages in logistics
and material handling sectors.”
The original Teletruk made
a significant impression in the
material handling industry and
expectations are high that 22 years
later a similar impact will be made
by the 30-19E. ALT
“WE ASKED OURSELVES, WHY CAN’T
LIFT TRUCK OPERATORS HAVE
A ROBUST MACHINE GUARANTEED
TO WORK OUTDOORS IN ALL
WEATHERS, AS WELL AS INDOORS?”
