Irish electric car manufacturer
AVA Electrifi is partnering with
restoration company ACH
Classic, to restore, rebuild and
electrify classic Land Rovers.
AVA Electrifi has created
a world-leading operation
that restores and converts
classic cars and a range of
prestige vehicles to electric.
The company, located in
Powerscourt, Wicklow, was
founded by serial entrepreneur
Norman Crowley with
the aim of reviving the car
manufacturing industry in
Ireland.
ACH Classic, based in
Silverstone, Northamptonshire,
is focused on restoring and
recreating Land Rovers of any
age and model, returning them
to their full glory.
The partnership will see
ACH Classic benefi t from AVA
Electrifi ’s experience in making
classic cars more reliable and
ecologically sound through
electrifi cation, while ACH
Classic brings its record of
excellence in craftsmanship and
restoration.
The two companies will
off er conversion for existing
classic Land Rovers, working to
owners’ bespoke specifi cations,
as well as creating a collection
of Land Rover Series models
that they will electrify and fully
restore for sale.
Electrifi founder Norman
Crowley said ACH Classic

at restoring classic Land
Rovers and Defenders, and
the partnership “aligns with
Electrifi ’s aim to lead the fi eld at
electrifying this class of vehicle.”

Recruitment
fi rm wins £33m
maritime contract
Specialist engineering recruitment
company Consilium Recruit has
secured a deal to work on a project
which aims to decarbonise maritime
transport.
The expert jobs fi rm has been
chosen by Belfast-based Artemis
Technologies, which has been
awarded £33 million from the
Strength in Places Fund to lead
on the development of new zero
emissions hydrofoil ferries and
future maritime transport systems.
Artemis Technologies, which
is led by double Olympic gold
medallist yachtsman Iain Percy
OBE, brings together maritime,
aerospace and motorsport experts
and is one of the world’s leading
high performance maritime design
and technology fi rms.
The company chose Consilium
as its recruitment partner after
they impressed with their 20-year
track-record across the automotive,
aerospace and advanced
engineering sectors, and also
through its work with America’s Cup
challenger, Ben Ainslie Racing.
The contract will see Consilium,
which is headquartered in
Stratford-upon-Avon, lead on fi lling
engineering, management and
project leadership roles to support
Artemis Technologies’ 10-year plan
to make Belfast Harbour a world
leading hub for green maritime
technology, and one of the world’s
most environmentally friendly
regional ports.
The fi rst roles to be recruited
will include departmental heads
within mechanical systems, naval
architecture, project management
and procurement.
