fears about the safety of hosted
solutions. 3CX has always made
security a number one priority
and, with V16, has introduced
a number of security updates to
address the latest concerns as well
as to make management easier and
your customers’ communications
less vulnerable. e global IP
blacklist is an “opt-in” feature
which allows customers’
installations to be constantly and
automatically updated with the
latest hack reports. Participating
PBXs will contribute and have
access to the global blacklist,
protecting them from an online
list of known threats managed
by 3CX. It is now also possible to
restrict access to the management
console based on IP. V16 has also
been modi ed so that the PBX
does not send the user agent by
default, and there are updated
checks and warning noti cations
for weak extension security
levels. Unlike an appliance-based
PBX with customised operating
system, 3CX is always updated
to protect customers’ PBXs
and networks against the latest
threats. More often than not,
unattended on-premise systems
are much more vulnerable than
those in the cloud.
