“We built the P-Series PBX System to be a highly versatile system that can adapt to various SME scenarios.”
Serve the underserved
SMEs have been looking to fill the UC gap in recent years. Prince Cai, Product Marketing Director at Yeastar,
discusses how the upcoming P-Series PBX System will resonate with SMEs’ higher expectations.
Comms Business Magazine
(CBM): What are the key
challenges today’s SMEs
are facing with their PBX
systems?
Prince Cai (PC): More and
more SMEs need something
beyond just a PBX to fulll
a wider range of tasks in
their digital transformation
strategy. ey found insucient
call handling features,
unpleasant user experience,
management headaches,
and poor adaptability to
be major hindrances to the
eectiveness of their business
communications.
CBM: How does the P-Series
PBX System address those
issues?
PC: e P-Series is a “PBX-Plus-
More” system that converges
voice, mobility, presence, web
application, collaboration, and
more for SMEs. It comes with
visualised call management,
advanced call center features,
unied communications
applications, anywhere anytime
connectivity, and everything
practical yet outperforming
across mobiles, desktops, and
browsers. Better yet, balancing
usability and functionality, the
P-Series requires less training
and fewer management eorts.
CBM: Why is the P-Series PBX
System an exciting offering in
the SME market?
PC: With the rise of digital
transformation projects, SMEs’
expectations on PBX systems
have soared. Besides nancial
investments, many now tend to
focus more on the functionality,
usability, and user experience.
We also believe that the SME
audience is segmented and
has diverse needs in terms of
communication solutions.
With that in mind, we built the
P-Series PBX System to be a
highly versatile system that can
adapt to various SME scenarios.
CBM: What are the benefits for
administrators? How about for
end users?
PC: Granular management
is an excellent benet for
administrators. Based on
customised user roles,
specic access privileges
will be given to the correct
individuals to facilitate strong
administrative controls and
exible user permissions.
e visualised management
portal and panel-based design
also make everything more
straightforward. Whereas,
for end users, the Linkus UC
Clients will allow them to easily
access a comprehensive suite of
calling, conference, voicemail,
presence, enterprise contacts,
collaboration from a single
interface using mobile phones,
desktops, and web browsers.
CBM: What is unique about
this product?
PC: e P-Series seeks niches
in the SME market. For SMEs
that require more sophisticated
features without breaking the
bank, the P-Series PBX System
compares handsomely to the
giants. Its intelligent design
brings together a suite of SME
communication options into
one UC solution so there is no
need for several third party
vendors. Another big plus
is that we take into account
both convenient usability
and optimal user experience.
We are condent to say that
the P-Series is a sure winner
considering user-friendliness
and ease of use.
CBM: What should resellers
pay particular attention to?
PC: e traditional pay-once,
use-forever model usually has a
lower customer-lifetime-value.
In the P-Series, we include all
the superior PBX features in
the product, with the premium
features and services easily
accessible through a simple
subscription model. In this
way, there will be more upsell
opportunities for resellers to
create a recurring revenue
model that leads to higher
customer retention and stronger
customer relationships.
CBM: Did any customers trial
it during development? What
was the feedback?
PC: e P-Series PBX System
was launched in beta in
September. We have enrolled
some enthusiastic and
experienced beta customers
and they will be starting tests
soon. Our beta customers
are keen to experience the
P-Series, especially the call
center solution, operator panel,
web client, and visualised
management portal. We are
looking forward to receiving
more feedback from them to
help us ne-tune the P-Series
and shape its future.
CBM: What can we expect
to see on the P-Series PBX
System in the future?
PC: e beta launch in
September is the rst step in our
strategic planning. e P-Series
PBX System will be generally
available in late October,
yet we still have something
exciting under development
that will be rolled out gradually
with version updates. We
will be adding more amazing
features, including video
conferencing, WebRTC, CTI,
CRM integration, and more.
Ultimately, our ambition
is to unlock boundless
communications for every SME.
