“In the next five years, every successful company will become an AI-company.”

available in an SaaS module.
e conversation is all about
Dynamics 365 Commerce
designed for retailers,
encompassing omni-channels
such as web site, retail bricks
and mortar and E-Commerce
all working together and
working out, say, order
processing from combined data.
is includes Microsoft call

Balasubremanian says the
data gathered is available to user
enterprises and Microsoft will
also oer their own insights
into the data such as typical
analytics on sales and margins.
Interestingly Microsoft will
oer segmentation of customers,
lifetime values and which
customers may be susceptible to
churn.
ED SAYS…
One of the interesting features of Dynamics 365 Retail for users, say staff in a retail
store, is that it will show all this data in store so staff can have conversations with
customers based on their history of interaction with the company. ‘So, you were looking
at this dress on-line the other night?’ Hmmm, it’s going to happen so just embrace it –
I’m sure there’s a master opt out button somewhere in there.
I picked two vendors to talk to just to illustrate the point that AI is not always obvious.
Mark Elwood, Marketing Director at TeleWare, said his firm was at the show to
promote a new voice app called Re-Call. The purpose of the app was to eliminate
the need for execs to lug around both a personal and mobile phone. There’s also an
environmental benefit to that as well; did you know it takes 13,000 litres of water to
make a mobile phone? Mark agrees with Microsoft’s perspective that AI will make us do
things better and in his case, make more phone calls.

ipside, those who do not are
in real danger of falling further
behind their more progressive
counterparts.”
She concludes by saying,
“In the next ve years, every
successful company will become
an AI-company. It is now
the next level of competitive
dierentiation.”
Dynamics for Retail
In a move likely to be repeated
for other sectors in the future,
Microsoft has also just released
Dynamics 365 for Retail.
Dynamics, a set of applications
brought together in a unied
form in an SaaS delivery
module is based on four
principles according to Balaji
Balasubremanian, GM for
Dynamics Retail.
“All applications are built to
co-exist and like Lego blocks
they all t together as unied
apps in a common data module.
