The grand opening took place on
July 23 with an event involving the
business community, clients, airport and
local authorities.
The new Milano Prime Terminal, open
24/7, covers a wide surface of 1,400m
and is located within a dedicated area
between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
Malpensa International airport. It is
characterized by a 50,000m apron and a
5,000m hangar for the latest generation
of executive jets.
SEA Prime thus
completes the offering
for business and general
aviation passengers and
operators arriving in or
traveling through Milano
and the Lombardy region
- destinations that are
becoming more and more
attractive and boast a strong
international appeal.
“The opening of Milano
Prime at Malpensa was
driven by three factors -
creating a service which
was not there, customers’ demand and
potential for development in an area, like
Milano and the surrounding regions, which
are becoming more and more attractive.
In 2018 Milano was the 15th most visited
city in the world by international visitors,
consolidating Milano’s leadership in Italy
and its position as Europe’s fifth-largest
city by traffic volumes of business and
general aviation,” said Chiara Dorigotti,
CEO of SEA Prime.
Milano Prime at Malpensa offers
privacy, ease of movement and exclusive
services, including limousine and
concierge, five lounges and private
meeting rooms. The terminal ensures
both passengers and crew members
have a rich range of flexible services and
freedom of movement.
“Our customers seek a smooth
service, as well as privacy. This is
why Milano Prime, at both Linate and
Malpensa is designed to offer a direct
access to security filters and the apron,
potentially limiting the time of going
through the terminal to less than five
minutes. Being in a secluded area of the
airports we also guarantee privacy, this
is why we are the natural choice for VIPs,
celebrities and business people who
come to Milano for events, tourism or
meetings,” said Marco Funel, commercial
director of SEA Prime.
With an investment of €5 million, the
terminal is characterized by a polyhedral
structure, which is easily noticeable and
recognizable from every point of view
and shows a series of transparent glass
niches allowing customers to appreciate
the design of the internal spaces from the
outside. The mirror effect of the loggias
creates a chromatic contrast with the
external coating, lighting up the entrances
for passengers. The materials have been
carefully chosen to increase natural
lighting in order to make the spaces more
comfortable and pleasant.
The new terminal allows SEA Prime
to develop the potential of the market
and the catchment area, meeting the
constantly growing demand of first and
business class passengers who arrive

Italy and Europe.
The new Milano Prime Terminal has
opened just before the three-month
scheduled closure of Linate airport, from
July 27 to October 27, due to a major
reconstruction project.
It will therefore host visitors for the
important international events scheduled
in autumn like the Formula 1 Grand Prix
and the Milan Fashion Week.
In 2018, SEA Prime registered ca
26,000 business and general aviation
movements ranking first in Italy and
fifth in Europe in terms of traffic
volumes handled.
