Promoting equality
A further new initiative for 2020 will
highlight the increasingly vital role
women play in the construction industry,
especially in the face of a growing labour
shortage. To this end ConExpo is
partnering with the National Association
of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and
the Women of Asphalt (WOFA). Events
will include education sessions as well as
breakfast and lunch gatherings.
Related to this is the growing in uence
of social media in the industry. Social

smart city was unveiled by the event
planning team,” says Wuestho . “It
demonstrates how a smart city, through
sensors and analytics, will be able to

The International Fluid Power Exhibition (IFPE) takes
places alongside and in conjunction with ConExpo-Con/
Agg. Like ConExpo, IFPE exists as an opportunity for those
within the fl uid power sector to meet with suppliers and
learn about everything from sensor technology and data
analytics to robotics and automation. “There really is
something for everyone at this show,” says David Price,
global marketing manager of HydraForce and chairman of
the 2020 show. “In particular the improved education
