iVT International Off-Highway 2020
iVT Expo
June 24-25, 2020
Koln Messe, Cologne, Germany
There’s no bias here – the simple fact is that the iVT Expo showcases nothing
but the very latest and next-generation components, suppliers and
technologies. In fact, don’t arrive expecting to see full vehicles, because the
‘nothing but’ is literal. What you will fi nd is all the latest new materials, engine
technologies, including electric motors and hybrid applications, control
systems, sensors, testing and validation services and technologies. You will
also see cabin equipment, technologies required for operator-free/driverless
vehicles and innovative ideas that will help manufacturers of industrial
vehicles ultimately improve product design, e ciency and, ultimately, sales
– all under one roof.

EIMA International
November 11-15, 2020
Bologna Trade Fair Quarters, Italy
The International
Exposition of
Machinery for
Agriculture and
Gardening, to give
EIMA its full name, is a
biennial event that has
been running with great
success since 1969.
Visitors will fi nd 14
merchandise sectors alongside specialized salons: EIMA Components, EIMA
Green (for gardening and groundkeeping), EIMA Energy (for renewable
energy sources), EIMA Idrotech (irrigation machinery) and EIMA MiA
(multifunctional agriculture), all of which present what the organizers
describe as “avant-garde technologies”. Merchandize exhibitors have a large
stage to clearly separate sectors of interest and help visitors better organize
their visits – an important consideration at an event exhibiting more than
50,000 models of machinery from around 1,950 companies.

MINExpo International
September 28-30, 2020
Las Vegas Convention Center, United States
The world’s largest mining event, which in 2020 is expected to bring together
an estimated 1,300 exhibitors and 38,000 attendees from 112 countries,
covers the entire industry: exploration, mine development, open pit,
underground mining, processing, safety, environmental improvement and
more. The aim is to help visitors identify their current business needs and
discover what’s coming next in mining, via cutting-edge equipment,
innovations, services and technologies designed to improve existing
operations, reduce costs and improve safety. Note that the Las Vegas event
takes place every four years, so if you miss this one you will have to wait until
2024 until you next have the opportunity to dig deep.

Bauma ConExpo India
November 3-6, 2020
HUDA Ground Gurgaon, New Delhi, India
This four-day exhibition bills itself as the “international trade fair for construction
machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles in
India”, which is a pretty comprehensive description of an event that shows o the latest
products to emerge from the country’s burgeoning construction machinery industry. It’s
popular, too – ConExpo India 2018 attracted 39,172 participants (up 20% from 2016) to
see 700 exhibitors from 26 countries, despite the tough market conditions. Expect
plenty of interaction between exhibitors and visitors on responding better to customer
needs, facilitating trade and communication more intelligently and digitally, and
providing participants with e cient services.
Bauma China
November 24-27, 2020
Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), China
Much like its sister event in India and big brother in Munich, Bauma China is
essential for the region’s construction industry. It features exhibitors
from the fi elds of construction, mining, material handling and mineral
processing; production of building materials; and component and service
suppliers in areas such as transmission, power-generations units, processcontrol
engineering and job safety. The organizers hope to build on a
record-breaking 2018 event that attracted 3,350 exhibitors and 212,500
visitors all drawn by the
promise of a smart, digital
and more sustainable
construction industry
in Asia.
