KCF advises on QDOSsbl sale to
Ridgewall Group
TECHNOLOGY AND TELECOMS
adviser Knight Corporate Finance
has advised the shareholders of
QDOSsbl on its sale to Ridgewall
Group with back to back
investment from Infl exion Private
Equity to support their future
growth and M&A ambitions.
QDOSsbl is a specialist provider
of telecoms and IT solutions to
the hospitality sector with clients
including global hotel brands,
luxury hotels and restaurant
chains across the UK and the
world.
With many buyers developing
strategies to target specifi c
vertical markets, Knight was able
to target those parties willing to
pay a strategic premium for an
entry point into the hospitality
sector. The Ridgewall deal
offered a clean exit for Stone
Ventures, QDOSsbl’s institutional
investor, whilst the management
shareholders continue their
journey as part of the leadership
team at the enlarged group.
Tom Jones, Associate Director
at Knight, said “We are delighted
about the outcome of this deal
for both management and private
equity shareholders which saw
with Ridgewall seeing off strong
competition to anchor itself as a
leader in the hospitality sector.
We are particularly pleased
that our Vendor Assist product
ensured that the business was
well prepared for the transaction
and signifi cantly reduced the due
diligence workload”.
JOLA LAUNCHES MULTI-NETWORK
ESIM BUILT FOR THE CHANNEL
JOLA HAS BECOME a global IoT MVNO, providing the UK’s fi rst multinetwork
eSIM built for the channel. e-SIMs give MSPs and resellers
ultimate choice and control, whilst solving the biggest mobile data
problem facing their end users – how to automatically connect any
device to any network, anywhere in the world.
GSMA-compliant eSIMs give Jola partners a truly un-steered,
multi-network roaming connection, ensuring the customer is always
getting the best technical and commercial solution, whatever
happens in the market. Network-agnostic eSIMs offer an alternative
to MNO contract lock-ins and save customers the pain and expense
of swapping out SIMs.
Adrian Sunderland (pictured), Jola’s CTO commented, “eSIM or
eUICC technology is the key to unlocking the IoT opportunity for
the channel. eSIMs can be embedded into devices or delivered as
a traditional removeable SIM. Operator profi les on the eUICC can be
securely and remotely updated over-the-air. Instead of swapping
plastic SIM cards, profi les are downloaded and managed on a device
as needed. In the eSIM model, a device is ready to deploy anywhere
network coverage exists. If a device moves and crosses networks,
its profi le can be updated quickly and securely.”
