24 Seven
launches
Pod to cure
‘Broadsoft
fatigue’
24 SEVEN HAS launched Pod, a
new hosted telephony platform
at last month’s Channel
Live. The new service will
be sold exclusively through
reseller partners. Powered
by Metaswitch, the platform
will offer resellers 1st mover
advantage, 24 Seven are the
fi rst Carrier in the UK to launch
the UC offering.
Pod has been built from the
ground up, with a suite of fully
integrated components that
are all designed to provide an
unsurpassed and richer user
experience. The platform also
enjoys SIP hardware compatibility,
working with any SIP compliant
hardware, taking away another
hassle for Resellers.
When asked “Why now?”
Alex Grant (pictured), Director
of 24 Seven Communications
commented “It is a crowded
space, but it’s dominated by
one player, Broadsoft. We know
from feedback that there’s a lot
of Broadsoft fatigue out there.
SLACK
Business communications app Fuze,
has announced a new integration
for collaboration tool Slack. The new
integration is designed to simplify
enterprise communications, enabling
users to seamlessly toggle between the
two platforms when moving from a Slack
conversation to a Fuze call or meeting.
SOUTH WEST COMMS
South West Communication Group has
been named as a supplier on Crown
Commercial Service’s (CCS) Network
Services 2 RM3808 framework.
swcomms has been awarded a place on
two lots: local connectivity services and
traditional telephony.
HP HQ
HP has opened its new headquarters in
the freshly refurbished Earley Buildings
at the vibrant Thames Valley Park.
The move continues HP’s presence in
Berkshire, having opened its previous UK
headquarters in Bracknell in 1988.
The market has been crying
out for something different
for a long time now, with many
Resellers expressing frustration
of coming up against other
Resellers selling exactly the
same product. This is just
creating a race to the bottom on
price because that’s largely the
only way they can differentiate
themselves.
Pod will mean Resellers can
stand out in the Broadsoft
fog through a wide range of
differentiators. Firstly, Pod
has better crafted products
that are perfectly suited to the
changing ways employees and
businesses work these days,
as well as market leading call
centre solutions. Pod also offers
Resellers superior commercials,
a much better user experience,
and the chance to deal with
a company (us!) that’s much
easier to do business with.”
"The fact that Pod is
something fresh and different
for Resellers will take away their
frustration and nervousness
of coming up against another
Reseller offering the same
product when pitching UC to a
prospective business."
