Comms Business Magazine
(CBM): Why is Microsoft Teams
getting so much Channel
interest right now?
Mark Vale (MV): e Microsoft
ecosystem touches nearly every
business globally. Anything
Microsoft produces which
enables the Channel to deliver
business benets to their
customers is going to get a lot
of attention. Even before the
pandemic hit earlier this year

time has evolved, and the
usage of Teams skyrocketed,
the Channel opportunity has
become clearer.
CBM: What are those
opportunities exactly?
MV:Direct Routing is clearly
a major opportunity, but
there is still a lot of confusion
between the dierent methods
which constitute that route.
I think there is also a lot of
misconception around the
dierences between integration,
Direct Routing and buying
voice directly from Microsoft.
ey are very dierent options
and the Channel needs to
understand not just where they
can make margins but also how
Teams Topics include:
• Building on the Success of Direct Routing
• How to Optimize Microsoft Teams with Cloud Contact Centre
Platforms
• Enhance your Teams proposition and managed services with
advanced reporting and analytics
• How to approach a customer centric Microsoft Teams Voice
Project
• Ways Channel Partners Can Future-Proof Customer Businesses
and Secure Renewals with Microsoft Teams
using Teams can play a big part
in enabling deeper customer
relationships. ere are so
many opportunities for partners
to craft a successful Teams
proposition I am condent
anyone wanting to learn more
will benet from the sessions we
are planning.
CBM: What will the Channel Live
– CommsVerse relationship
bring to the event?
MV: We will be delivering
tailored Channel content to
visitors at a time they need
it most. With a dedicated
theatre we can do a deep dive
into the technology and have
honest conversations about
where the Channel needs to
focus its attention when it
comes to the Teams product.
We have a number of industry
specialists lined up for a range
