NIST
Jason has over 20 years of experience working
in the wireless telecommunications industry. Prior to joining NIST in
2015, he worked on device interoperability with commercial companies
such as Motorola and Nokia. His main areas of expertise are device
interoperability, process management and advanced LTE feature
performance.
He currently represents NIST in 3GPP, working on public safety testing
standards for LTE devices. He also acts as a Federal Program Of cer
for several mission critical voice grants as part of the NIST Public Safety
Innovation Accelerator Program (PSIAP) funding opportunity.
Jason earned degrees from the University of Texas in Austin and
Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

He joined Motorola in 2016, having previously worked as a product
manager for Sepura. He rst joined the radio industry working as project
manager at the UK Ministry of Defence. He holds a Master’s degree in
computer systems engineering from the University of Bristol.

Ltd and VIRVE for 19 years, holding several positions. In his current role
as Head of Department he is responsible for leading on the migration
from public safety TETRA to commercial broadband services. Antti
holds a Master’s degree in economics, and a Bachelor’s in information
technology.

Harald is founder and Managing Director of Arico
Technologies, a company offering consultancy,
training and project management services for the professional
mobile radio industry. His expertise includes critical and public safety
communications, broadband technologies, international standardisation
and interoperability testing, and system and application design.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the professional mobile
radio industry. Areas of work have included the development and testing
of safety-critical communications, the integration of command and control
systems, and the end-to-end design of nationwide public safety systems.
Harald was appointed Chair of the TCCA Technical Forum in 2006,
which is responsible for the interoperability of TETRA equipment, including
infrastructure, radio terminals and applications. He is now also looking
into interoperability aspects of mission-critical LTE.

Angelene started her career as a graduate
trainee. In 2013, she worked in the development of
digital mobile radio for Motorola Solutions. After a year,
she was chosen to be part of a new team developing TETRA radios for
the company. In that role, she was mainly involved in bringing-through
speci c features for a key customer contract in Asia and Europe. She
subsequently became a technical lead for the Norway/Sweden common
cross border feature, as well as the key liaison architect for MSI Penang
for standardisation and certi cation issues.
As a feature architect she is tasked with translating requirements as
de ned by standardisation/certi cation bodies, alongside proposed
modi cation to Motorola’s current software, enabling standards
compliance. She is also required to communicate with key stakeholders,
ensuring that the software demonstrates the correct behaviour. She was
awarded TCCA Young Engineer of the year in 2019.

Thomas Lynch is the Head of Security for Security and Critical
Communications Research at OMDIA. OMDIA have been providing
research on the security and critical communications market for over 20
years and are recognised leaders in research and market intelligence.
Thomas and his team focus across video surveillance equipment, safe
cities, public safety, future communications technologies such as LTE,
command and control, Fintech and cybersecurity.
Thomas holds an MBA from the University of Leicester in International
Business. He is a Chartered Marketer, Chartered Manager and has over 20
years operational and engineering communications and security experience.
He is an international speaker, having keynoted events in the US,
Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and is recognised as a critical
communications and safe cities market expert.
