WHAT’S NEW AGRITECHNICA 2019
CONTROLLING DRIVERLESS SWARMS
One of the key research projects that will be presented at Agritechnica 2019 will be
from the Technical University of Dresden, which has been working on a remote HMI
concept that will enable a single operator to control multiple vehicles at the same
time. Turn to page 36 to find out more from Professor Jens Krzywinski, head of
industrial design and engineering at the university, who explains how tablets and
wireless joysticks are used to control a fleet of cabinless tractors (such as the one
pictured, above). There will be a more detailed preview of the system – along with a full
preview of the whole of the Agritechnica event – in the September 2019 edition of iVT.
