EMEA VP Eric
Law (pictured)
has reassured
partners that
there are no
plans to alter
its partner
program
after the
acquisition of
parent company, ARRIS.
The reassurance came after a bid
of $7.4Billion (£) from CommScope,
accepted by ARRIS, closed earlier this
month.
Law said that there are “no changes
to the current partner program” after
the close of the sale and said it would
not interfere with the broad roll out
of its Managed Service Provider
program, currently only available to the
hospitality sector, later in the year.
He said: “The line between a
systems integrator and service
provider is generally blurring.
Many system integrators or
resellers, if they haven’t already, want
to move their business models to
offering a managed service and we are
going to be announcing this program
to support many types of partners to
be able to make that journey and offer
managed services.”

ENTERPRISES STAND TO WIN FROM 5G POWER

with very little growth however 5G
can transform the way that they make
their money.
He said: “5G offers so much
capability that it can start to offer
industrial applications and that’s why
it is a transformative technology,
because it changes the operating cost
structure of a telecom company.
The reason why this is complicated
for telecom operators is because, like
a lot of commercial companies, they
are thinking about how they get their
return on investment but the B2C
business is becoming fl at.
The business opportunity in
terms of growth is leveraging 5G
to transform industry to make new
revenue streams.”
