PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
AES System produces standarized and customized
environmental test chambers assembled by hand to
the highest German quality standards. The temperature
range of the chambers is from -80°C to +325°C with a
humidity range from 0% relative humidity in chambers
with definite athmospheres up to 100% humidity in fog
chambers. The company’s range of vaccum chamber can
create ambient pressure of up to 1 x 10^-5 Pa .
These parameters can be combined with test
parameters such as radiation, vibration and also
precipitation. The usable testspace inside AES System’s
products is from 230 liters up to 320m. The combination
of these parameters allows the company to supply
equipment that meets several standards for laboratory
testing, including MIL-STD-810, other standards for civil
aerospace, and automotive standards.
AES System is located in Netzschkau, Saxony in the
industrial area of Netzschkau where test chambers have
been built since 1950. All machines are built using a
modular design, enabling an easier handling of servicing
and maintenance. All of the units are supplied and are
operated with a Siemens controller, so spare parts can be
supplied quickly to any location.
AES Systems’ products are designed and produced to
high standards of quality and with longevity, ease of
service and maintenance in mind. The company has an
established and large customer base, with many

Precision Filters has announced the Model SCB-16FA Signal
Conditioner programmable 16-channel filter/amplifier with
current source for Integrated Electronic Piezoelectric (IEPE)
sensors and remote charge converters. The programmable IEPE
source supplies 0 to 20 mA in 2 mA steps of current to support
all IEPE sensor types. Each channel input can be individually
isolated to allow connection to grounded accelerometers or
problematic 4-pin triaxial accelerometers without introducing
ground loops and associated noise. The IEPE current source
disconnect mode allows the SCB-16FA-IEPE to be used as a
16-channel Precision AC Filter/Amplifier with balanced
differential input.
A shift in the bias point of an IEPE sensor could be an
indication that the sensor is beginning to fail, so measuring the
bias point is a means of monitoring the sensor health. The SCB-
16FA provides a readout of the bias voltage, as well as an ‘out of
range’ indicator with user specified limits, so the user can
continuously monitor sensor health. In addition, sensor OPEN
and SHORT indicators are provided.
Programmable channel gain and optional 4-pole FLAT/PULSE
low-pass filters provide clean, amplified “data acquisition ready”
output signals. The AC-coupled amplifier stage provides
programmable gain settings up to x1000 in a x1, 2, 5, 10
sequence. The standard unit provides a 2-pole 100 kHz
Butterworth low-pass filter with an optional 4-pole LP4FP FLAT/
PULSE low-pass filter available in three standard ranges each
with five programmable cutoff frequencies. A programmable
wideband mode (-3 dB at 1.5 MHz) to bypass the filter is
standard. The built-in test and monitor busses allow the user to
inject calibration signals at the amplifier input and monitor any
channel output without disconnecting any of the I/O cables.
The optional SCB Test Subsystem adds Factory Acceptance
Tests (FAT) capability to the SCB-16FA. The acceptance tests,
initiated from the SCB GUI, are fully automated NIST traceable
verification routines that measure and report the unit’s
performance as it relates to the published specifications. \\
