for an
established
player
Fastening specialist Jet Press has a new group
managing director. Here, FAST catches up with him.
Jet Press’s New Group
Managing Director Mark
Niblett has come home.
Not only has he returned
to Derbyshire where he was
brought up but he has returned
to engineering where he
started his career.
After qualifying as
an Engineer he started
work in Nottingham as a
Communications and Network
Designer. From there he joined
the IT giant UNISYS as a
Technical Manager. In 2004
he joined glob-al distribution
giant ANIXTER. Starting as
a Demand Creation Manager
in the Middle East and then
Regional Vice President.
With more than 25 years of
leadership experience, from
start-ups to in-dustry leaders
like ANIXTER International,
Mark is ideally suited to this
new challenge. During his
career, he not only gained
experience in Europe but also
in North America, and Asia.
Since Jet Press was
founded in 1977 the Managing
Directors have always been
promoted from within. Mark
is the first Jet Press Group
MD to have joined from
outside the company.

A: It depends on which
industry segment, in some
we’re very closely aligned to
the customer and cen-tral
to component specification
and development, integral
to innovation, reducing their
costs and helping them to
deliver a better product.
In others our USP is our
strength in logistics, carrying
the right stock profile and
volumes to support their
business, and ensuring the
right quantity of prod-uct is
delivered on time to keep their
line running smoothly.
