Operational Optimisation, 25 – 26 January 2022,
Conference Aston, Birmingham
Operational Optimisation, www.opopworkshop.com, is the new event designed specifically for plant
managers, operations managers, owners, investors, and asset performance management, who want to
drive improved results from their current fleet of waste to energy and biomass plants
With higher energy revenues
currently available, it makes
sound business sense to see
how you can improve the performance
of your plant, reducing downtime,
reducing costs, increasing throughput
and increasing energy outputs. This
important and timely event provides an
unrivalled way of gaining insights into
latest technical and operational advances,
through presentations, discussion panels,
networking and knowledge development.
Key topics the event will address
include: Asset optimisation – with
David Richardson, Yokogawa; Reducing
downtime and outage – with Robert Van
Kessel , PREWIN and Mike Anderson, KTT
ProStream; What will implementing BREF
mean? With Edward Thomas, Viridor and
Stephen Othen, Fichtner; Combustion
optimisation – with Damir Zibrat and
Matthias Lukic, Technikgruppe; Managing
costs whilst improving emissions control
– with Rodney Foo and John Whitehurst,
Lhoist; Asset management with Adam
Bischinger, MCP Consulting Group and
many more. See the full agenda here:
www.opopworkshop.com/programme.
The packed conference day also
addresses the rapidly accelerating
decarbonization agenda, with sessions
from Ricardo on Implementing CCS and
how it will affect your plant and a case
study of the InBECCS biomass plant
which is delivering a demonstrator CCS
project with C-Capture. This important
session includes Alex Young, Head of
Development, Bioenergy Infrastructure
Group and a senior speaker from
C-Capture.
Using waste wood as a feedstock, the
22MW Ince Bio Power plant is the largest
waste wood gasification plant in the UK.
Capturing CO2 from the flue gases would
deliver negative emissions and has the
potential to be the UK’s first bioenergy
with carbon capture & storage (BECCS)
facility. The session will look at the
progress, implementation and technology
of the project. With plenty of time built
in for questions and discussion this will
provide unique insights into the practical
application of CCS – essential information
for all plant managers.
