an airline and an

Clair was involved in
the design process for the
FBO from start to finish. “We
decided to create an aquarium
because it’s an interesting thing to
do in an FBO. We also created a wine cellar in the
ground.
“All the services we offer could be available in a
high-end luxury venue. That’s exactly what we wanted
to create here because it’s what passengers, crew and
airlines all want.”
According to Clair, his competitors aren’t offering
levels of service comparable to Astonsky’s. “Our FBO
offers the maximum levels of service in an ambience
like a luxury hotel to passengers and crews.
“We can offer all these services at the same price
as the rest of the market at Paris-Le Bourget, while
creating a different experience to ensure we are one of
the most high-end executive FBOs
in Europe. Paris-Le Bourget is a
very interesting place to create that,
because it is the first hub for business
aviation in Europe.”
Investment for the future
The total investment, including acquisition and
renovation, amounts to €11 million (US$12 million).
Despite recent figures stating that Paris-Le Bourget’s
business aviation market is declining, Clair isn’t
concerned.
“The figures published show business aviation
growth has declined around 8% in 2019 from the
previous year at Le-Bourget. But we expect an
increase, so we are not very anxious. We are sure that
with the present market, we could take more than 40%
of all movements.
“If we offer more services and a better experience
for our customer at the same price, why would the
client want to stay in their present FBO?”
