they were working with. “We do a lot of due diligence in
terms of partners and I’m sure Airbus are the same,” says
Reichman. “You tend to dance a little bit at first to find
out how committed they are and what’s the real value.
And then you end up as long-term partners.”
CUSTOMER CROSSOVER
Airbus’s Lemos says the agreement is for three years
and involves just the ACH130 helicopter for now.
Identifying the product’s likely customer base was
relatively straightforward. “We had the knowledge from
experts at Airbus regarding what their customers wanted
and some of our shareholders are also owners of Airbus
helicopters, so there’s an immediate entry into customer
