GROUND VIBRATION
TEST MASTER CLASS
Each Simcenter ground vibration testing
Master Class dives right into the details of
the software and this will certainly be the
case for the next session, which is running
from 10 – 13 September at the National
Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita
State University in Kansas, USA.
The master class rolls out an integrated
approach to handle the test preparation,
modal testing, modal analysis, numerical
model correlation, model updating, and
model exploitation.
Attendees can participate in actual
full-scale ground vibration testing (GVT) on a
grounded aircraft. During the hands-on
sessions, participants will be able to practice
the full process on both physical and
simulated models.
ELECTRIC TAKE-OFF
The Electric Aircraft IABG Acentiss
fully-electric plane has been developed to
be a test platform for reconnaissance and
surveillance systems.
The aircraft can be operated by a pilot or
can be programed to follow a preset path
automatically with a pilot performing takeoff
and landing. The aircraft flies autonomously
while in the air, although the predefined
waypoints can be modified during flight, or
according to direct input from the ground
station, such as altitude, airspeed, and

Simcenter GVT Master Class will be four days
well spent. Early reservation of your place on
the course is highly recommended because
attendance is limited. \\

The Simcenter GVT Master
Class is more than just a
structural dynamics training
experience. By inviting global
GVT experts to present, we
will put you directly in touch
with aviation insiders who
can share their insight and
experiences on specific
technical topics.
During the ground vibration testing Master
Class, participants will cover finite element
model updating, non-linear system
identification, flutter testing, limit cycle
oscillation and structural mode interaction
testing as well. If you want to learn how to
run a large-scale structural dynamics test
and obtain validated modal models, the
direction. The aerodynamic
control surfaces are controlled
by electric actuators with an
integrated electromagnetic
clutch. With a push of a button,
the pilot can take control of the
aircraft at any time. Ground
staff use a joystick at the ground control
station to control the sensors that are located
below the fuselage, to pan the camera,
infrared sensor or laser rangefinder, or to
zoom into the recorded image.
The electric aircraft IABG Acentiss (ELIAS)
can be used with small drones. In this
scenario, ELIAS provides a rough overview of
a large area and acts as a data link relay for
the drones. In contrast to ELIAS, the smaller,
more agile drones can hover, which is useful
for close reconnaissance, and provide more
detailed information on the selected area.
They can be controlled by pilots in the field or
by the ground station.
On board ELIAS, a dSPACE MicroAutoBox
performs the core flight guidance tasks and
executes the commands of the ground control
station during unmanned flights. \\
