The sun was shining this
September for another
superb Comms Business
Golf Society event at the
Forest of Arden. It was all to
play for at the top as payers
jostled to ensure they got an
invite to the nal event of the
year, and ultimate showdown,
at the beautiful St. Georges
Hill. Although conditions were
great for golf the course proved
challenging for players.
In the team event there was
a clear winner as Dean Gaunt,
Invosys, Kevin Beswick, Atrium,
and Dave Pitts, Trust Business
Partners romped home in
the lead. e Nearest the Pin
competition was won by a new
player to the society Elias Patel,
Radisys, who came exceptionally
close to holing his par three tee
shot. e Longest Drive was
won by our in-house golfer
extraordinaire Craig Howell
who boomed his shot down the

Showdown at the
Forest of Arden
In the penultimate event of the year Channel golfers met at the
forest of Arden to try and earn their place in the Grand Final at
St. Georges Hill. Although the course was immaculate it remained
challenging for even the best golfers among the group
12th fairway.
e individuals was a close
contest with four players on 33
points. Dave Hawkins, Kcom,
Kevin Beswick, Atrium, Andrew
Turner, Abzorb and Vincent
Disneur, Union Street all came
in level with each other. Upon
countback it transpired that
Vincent Disneur would emerge
victorious after an exceptional
back nine holes.
e pressure is now on
as players head into the nal
at the end of October. Dean
Gaunt, Invosys, is the king of
consistency on our leaderboard
right now putting himself
head and shoulders above the
competition over three events.
