Babble acquires Lake Technologies
INSOLVENCIES CONTINUE
TO FALL IN JUNE
CREDITSAFE HAS REPORTED that
June saw a total of 1,079
companies become insolvent,
the lowest monthly figure in the
last three years. This number
shows a 7% decrease
compared to May and a 44%
decrease compared to June
2019.
The total number of UK
company insolvencies for the
year rose to 9,998 by the end of
June 2020. This represents an
11% decrease when compared
to the same period (January –
June) in 2019. Given that the
trend for the period of January
to March saw an increase of
13% we can expect the numbers
to rise again once the economy
restarts.
BABBLE HAS ACQUIRED Lake
Technologies Ltd. The move
marks the fourth deal completed
by the acquisitive, rapidly
growing cloud technology
business since it was backed by
private equity firm, LDC in 2017.
Babble has thrived since it was
private equity backed three
years ago. It has continually
delivered strong organic growth
and remains on track to hit a
revenue target of £100m through
a combination of organic growth
and an aggressive buy and build
strategy.
Matt Parker, CEO at Babble,
said: “This is another step on
Babble’s rapidly accelerating
ride towards £100m as we seek
further acquisitions in
partnership with LDC. I am
delighted to have acquired
another high-quality business in
Lake Technologies. Both
businesses have a focus on
improving productivity and
increasing customer
engagement and organisational
resilience whilst reducing costs,
to deliver a rapid return on
investment for clients.”

Sabio Group and our customers in a number of ways – it means we

further strengthens our expertise and our relationship with Genesys
and Avaya and most importantly it brings a fantastic team and set of
customers into the Sabio Group.” said Sabio Group’s CEO Jonathan
Gale (pictured). “The team at Coverage have done an absolutely
fantastic job of helping their new and existing customers migrate to

FUSION BROADBAND
LAUNCHES IN UK
SD-WAN NETWORK PROVIDER
Fusion Broadband today
launched its UK and European
business by opening its new
office at Innovation Martlesham’s
technology hub at Adastral Park,
near Ipswich in Suffolk.
As part of a major push to
expand into the UK and Europe, a
new company will be led by
former BT Global Services
solution architect Andrew
Catchpole, who becomes Chief
Executive of Fusion Broadband
UK Limited.
“UK businesses and
government organisations are
currently paying through the
nose for expensive MPLS
networks to link up their
headquarters, branch offices and
remote workers,” says Fusion
Broadband UK’s Andrew
Catchpole.
“Working with Managed
Service Provider partners, we
plan to change that and help
customers connect ‘cloud-first’
to much better, more resilient,
