airports as well as clients. The new
handling trip sheet is web-based with
an emphasis on communications both
internally within the dispatch team and
externally within the agent network.
The first phase will provide a more
efficient tool to manage every aspect
of service arrangements, document
management and message traffic.
Every team member is able to see in
real time the status of all active trip tasks
and duties as well as documents and
pending items.
In the future, the handling trip sheet
will be licensed and offered to other
handling companies worldwide in
need of a solution customized to their
unique operation. The next phase of
implementation will include modules in
which clients can access and view trip
information and status, for example,
hotel module, MEA (multiple entry
authorization) and IBP (Indefinite blanket
permit) module and check lists for each
flight to name a few. This will strengthen
the lines of communication and provide a
clear view into each operation.
Manny Aviation consistently seeks out
knowledge and new innovations to better
serve the aviation community with
a pledge to shared success throughout
the industry.

Part of that commitment is going
beyond basic requirements and
constantly evolving with training, safety
and standards to improve operations
within the company and provide seamless
flight experiences for its clients from start
to finish.
In 2014, Manny Aviation Services
began exploring ISBAH (International
Standard for Business Aircraft Handling)
registration. Although it is not a
requirement for handlers, there was
a strong conviction that having safety
standards should be priority in all
operations. Following many courses,
drafting manuals and protocols,
developing and maintaining SMS, as
well as the official audit, Manny Aviation
Services became the first handler in
Mexico to become ISBAH registered
in Toluca in 2016. This was just the
beginning of the pledge to safety and
standards within the organization.
ISBAH stage I confirms that the SMS
infrastructure is established, and safety
management activities are appropriately
targeted. In 2018 Manny Aviation
Services obtained stage II, which ensures
that safety management activities are
targeted, and safety risks are being
effectively managed.
ISBAH registration resulted in
increased work morale internally. With
employees continuously striving to
improve upon the new procedures and
protocols, they are performing in an
efficient and streamlined manner that
develops a substantial sense of pride and
accomplishment in their work. Operators
are aware of the extensive amount
of work put into establishing a safety
management system due to experience
with ISBAO. This accomplishment has
created a stronger bond of trust with
operators who are flying into Mexico
utilizing the services of Manny Aviation.
Next steps
With ISBAH stage II complete in Toluca,
Manny Aviation Services began focusing
on Queretaro Airport. Queretaro is the
main hub to Mexico’s aerospace clusters
and shows continued growth, making it
one of the top five airports for business
aviation traffic. The growth is attributed
to the large presence of aerospace and
automotive industry leaders. Manny
Aviation Services has a goal to conduct
the ISBAH stage I audit before the end of
2019 and is exploring implementation in
Los Cabos the next year.
In addition to the focus on safety and
standards, Manny Aviation Services has
conducted benchmarks with software
to learn how its current in-house
handling trip sheet can be improved.
In any business, efficient and timely
communications are key. The current
system hosts capabilities to produce
handling confirmations, quotes, invoicing
and contains other vital customer and
airport information.
Within the system, messages are
