Keith Ammons holds a Bachelor’s of Science
in engineering technology from Memphis State
University and a Master’s of aeronautical science from
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
He has spent over 35 years in the communications-electronics sector.
His experience includes project management, communications systems
operations and maintenance, communication security, and sales and
marketing activities. He is a former US Air Force communications and
computer systems staff of cer. In 1993 he joined TELTRONIC, SAU of
Zaragoza, Spain, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of digital
TETRA land mobile radio communications systems, now part of the
Hytera Group.
In 2010, he joined PowerTrunk, Teltronic’s US subsidiary company, and
since August 2013 he has been PowerTrunk’s Vice President of Market
Development. Keith is a member of the board of directors of the North
America TETRA Forum (NATF).

Knut has 30 years of experience in the telecoms
industry, having worked as a consultant for various
telecoms operators. Since 2005 he has been working
with Nødnett, the state-owned, TETRA-based, public safety network
in Norway. In recent years he has been focussed on assessing future
solutions for public safety communications in commercial 4G/5G mobile
networks. Knut holds a Master’s of science in physics.

Saurav has ten years of experience in wireless
communications, working with NVIDIA, HCL
Technologies/Keysight, and ST-Ericsson.
His rst exposure to the wireless sector was at the aforementioned
HCL Technologies, developing and maintaining the conformance TCs in
2G, 3G and LTE. His work for NVIDIA and ST-Ericsson focussed on new
features such as SRVCC, VoLTE and carrier aggregation.
He joined the ETSI Secretariat in September of 2015, providing
technical support to the 3GPP working group, CT3. He is currently
managing the Mission Critical Communication (MCX) and Cellular Vehicle
to Everything (C-V2X) Plugtests.
He has worked in India, the UK, Sweden and France. He holds an
engineering degree from the UPTU University (India).

as for strategic partnerships and participation in 3GPP standardisation.
He has more than 20 years of experience at Ericsson, in different
management positions.
Patrik was part of the rst mobile broadband design team. Over the
last ten years, his focus has been on public safety and defence.
He has an MSc in electrical engineering from Lunds Tekniska Högskola
in Sweden.

Marc has spent his entire career at Alcatel,
Alcatel-Lucent and now Nokia. He has held several
management positions, specialising in work areas including terminals
R&D, and mobile network programme management in several countries.
Since 2016 he has focused on critical communications business
development, helping public safety agencies use broadband/digital
technologies to improve their effectiveness. Marc holds a Master’s degree
in telecommunication and is PMP certi ed.

Where do we stand with mission critical 4G and what are the main
improvements in 5G?
Thomas joined Transport for London in 2012
after working for Associated British Foods. At the
latter, he assisted with the implementation of a new
warehousing enterprise resource planning system for British Sugar and
The Silver Spoon Company.
Since joining TfL, Thomas has worked on a variety of deliveries.
Most notably, he played a key role in managing the transition of the
organisation’s critical communications system from analogue to digital
radio. New infrastructure was delivered to 9,500 London buses, 82
dispatch locations and ten base sites.
Thomas has recently been responsible for implementation of the
surface transport push-to-talk over cellular service which is now fully
integrated with the TfL digital mobile radio system.
