practitioner below director level.
Entrants can enter themselves or be
put forward by their superiors.
Best HR strategy
from overseas
This award is only open to non-UKbased
organisations with no
presence in the UK. Judges will
require evidence of the impact of
the strategy, including operational
and financial measures. Please
check the website to see if you are
eligible to enter.
Best diversity and
inclusion strategy
An entry might detail work across the
board to support women, people
from BAME backgrounds, those from
the LGBT+ community, disabled
people and other minorities.
Or it might detail an initiative
tightly focused around one
particular demographic.
Best internal
communications strategy
The communications strategy can
be part of an ongoing process or
related to a one-off event or
development in the organisation.
Best health and
wellbeing strategy
This will go to the organisation that
provides the most compelling
evidence that their strategy for
health and wellbeing not only
works, but has also created a clear
and measurable return
on investment.
Best reward and
recognition strategy
This recognises where an
organisation has closely aligned a
benefits, reward and/or recognition
strategy to business objectives
to incentivise and
enhance productivity.
Best CSR strategy
Judges are looking for an HR
strategy or initiative that not only
has a positive impact on the wider
community, but also delivers
strongly on an organisation’s HR
and commercial or strategic aims.
Best transformation
strategy
Areas that will be assessed include
how the business case for change
was made, and the strategy’s
communication, implementation
and measurement.
Best employee
engagement strategy
The strategy should be holistic,
explaining how all aspects of the
employee experience – including
recognition, values, employee
voice, culture and
communications – have
been considered.
Best recruitment strategy
Judges are looking for evidence of
innovation and bottom-line
contribution through enhanced
recruitment and improved retention.
Entries could range from one-off
projects in key areas through to
overarching strategies.
Best learning and
development strategy
Entries could range from one-off
projects – such as leadership
development programmes,
apprenticeships, traineeships,
graduate schemes, internships and
work experience programmes –
through to organisation-wide strategies
covering all L&D activity.
Best HR technology strategy
Are you an organisation that has used
technology to move HR forward? It
could be via the application of HR
software and analytic systems,
online recruitment or an
e-learning programme.
Best talent
management strategy
Entrants should give details of how their
organisation defines and spots talent,
where responsibility for managing
talent sits, how they deliver appropriate
development opportunities and how
they monitor and measure the success
of implementation and outcome.
Best people-focused
workplace design strategy
This award celebrates the growing
number of companies now
approaching workplace design and
facilities management (FM) with a
people-focused lens. The winning HR
team will be strongly involved in
shaping their organisation’s approach
to FM, to deliver clear wellbeing,
engagement, collaboration and
productivity gains.
