Once Boeing won the contract to provide
the green aircraft, Altea worked to ensure a strong
working relationship. “Our team worked very closely with
Boeing throughout the project, right from the beginning
when we specified the aircraft and its interior, even before
the engineering work began at Fokker Techniek,” says
Sémiramoth. “It’s one of the unique things about this
project and one that certainly neutralised certain issues
and risks before they could arise.”
DUTCH DESIGN
The aircraft’s development was unusual in other ways too.
“The project differed from the many privately owned or

because it was European and a government project,” says
