In 2019, Testia launched the new version
of its already star-product, the Smart
UE1. This wireless, light-weight device
offers multi-method testing capabilities.
This allows NDT inspectors to travel lighthanded
with all their tools comprised in a
single device.
SEVERAL APPLICATIONS IN ONE
Indeed, the Smart UE1 revolves around the
2 most required inspection techniques:
Ultrasonic and Eddy Current. On top of
offering both capabilities for NDT experts,
this instrument also features dedicated
applications (based on UT and ET) for NDT
beginners and mechanics such as
resonance, clad, coating thickness,
conductivity and go/no go modules.
The Smart UE1 therefore enables to
cover a spectrum of solutions for a wide
range of Manufacturing and Maintenance
Aerospace activities, including and not
limited to: delaminations in composite
parts, disbondings (Honeycomb, stringers,
reinforcements, reparations), blend-outs of
scratches, surface corrosion and dents,
fatigue cracks in metallic or composite
panels, absence or presence of clad,
lightning strikes (impact on material
properties) and paint (quantitative of
coating thickness).
PART OF THE ECOSYSTEM
More than being just an NDT instrument,
the Smart UE1 is also a full digital
continuity enabler. The system integrates
location, reporting and connection
capabilities with NDT software,
showcasing Testia’s innovative initiative
called Inspection 4.0.
