Huawei announces strong UK
message to partners
OVER 200 DELEGATES attended Huawei’s UK
Partner Summit in London last month. The summit
saw Huawei update its network of suppliers and
partners on its latest business performance,
corporate strategy and plans for the UK.
Now in its seventh incarnation, the theme for
this year’s event was ‘Let’s Grow Together’. At the
summit, Huawei took the opportunity to reiterate
its commitment to the UK, outline its strategy
across its various partnership programmes.
Dr. Liang Hua (pictured), Chairman of Huawei
Board, spoke at the Huawei UK Partner Summit
2019, offering his insights into ICT trends and
opportunities.
In his remarks, Liang Hua noted that
digitalization is entering a new phase of
growth that will make the benefi ts of digital,
connectivity, and intelligence accessible to
everyone, “Huawei plays an important role in
providing ICT infrastructure and smart devices,”
he said.

the UK
government’s
pledge to
make the
UK a world
leader in 5G, and provide reliable, high-speed
connectivity to towns, cities and rural areas,
and national coverage of full-fi bre networks.
Noting that “there is a lot Huawei can contribute
to this”, Liang Hua commented, “We are in a
leading position for 5G. We participated in the UK
government’s 5G trials and are ready to support
our customers’ commercial 5G launches in the
UK. We are supporting the national rollout of
Fibre-To-The-Premises (FTTP) technology in the
country. We also have competitive and innovative
solutions for connecting hard-to-reach areas.”

Tampnet network now
available through Globalgig
TAMPNET AND GLOBALGIG have completed testing
and reached an agreement whereby access to
the Tampnet’s network will be available through
Globalgig’s patented multi-IMSI SIM.
Globalgig provides wireless service for
enterprise connectivity, SD-WAN and IoT
applications globally in 200+countries on one
SIM card. This partnership arrangement will
create a single SIM that works both onshore and
offshore.
Tampnet operates the largest offshore highcapacity
communication network in the world –
in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico – serving
more than 350 oil and gas platforms, fl oating
production storage and offl oading vessels
(FPSOs) and exploration rigs.

XELION NOW OFFERS full seamless
integration between its platform and
the Zapappi SMS gateway which can
be used for sending SMS messages.
Zapappi’s SMS platform allows users to
send and receive SMS text messages
via a REST API interface with the
Xelion cloud telephony solution. Xelion
customers can use the Zapappi SMS
platform to send text information or get
text information back from recipients.
