T he latest collection from Forbo Flooring Systems is
a new carpet design – Tessera Nexus FR. Launched
in September 2019, the Tessera Nexus FR carpet
collection merges a metallic web overlay with a striated ground.
It is available in nine contemporary colourways, but there is also
the possibility of developing bespoke colours.
“The Tessera FR range is a collection of attractive, hard-wearing
as acoustic and aesthetic benefits.”
In terms of performance, the range is designed to
offer slip resistance and complies with the EN45545-2
HL2 flammability standard. It is made with 100% Invista
Antron Lumena solution dyed polyamide 6.6 yarn, for
durability and colour-fastness.
The sheet material can be cut to size and shape,
and there are various installation options, including the
latest Pro-Fit integrated hook and loop system. “Pro-Fit
shaping methods,” explains Masters. “The Pro-fit backing system
is a perfect solution for train builders. It reduces the time needed
to fit the carpet, resulting in reduced downtime for the vehicle.”
Marmoleum FR and Striato FR
The company also recently expanded its Marmoleum range
with Marmoleum FR2 linoleum. Marmoleum has a long history
stretching back more than 150 years. It is a natural floor covering
that has always been created with sustainability, durability and
high quality in mind.
“For the rail sector Marmoleum FR2 offers total versatility in
terms of colour and design, but what makes this floor covering
really stand out is the fact that it is created using a high percentage
of natural raw materials, with a high renewable and recycled
content,” says Masters.
