At this year’s 29th annual ALSD (Association of Luxury Suite Directors) Conference
and Tradeshow, the biggest companies and leading names in the premium seating industry will converge on
Chicago, Illinois, for a feast of networking, education and entertainment. The four-day event will showcase more than
100 exhibitors, as well as 10 league meetings involving the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, Minor Leagues, performing arts
and performance venues. Keynote presentations and panels will be held on each day, with breakout sessions covering
key industry topics running throughout day three. There will also be tours of state-of-the-art venues such as the Chicago
Cubs’ Wrigley Field, Chicago Bears’ Soldier Field and Chicago Bulls/Blackhawks’ United Center.
Held alongside ALSD will be the 6th annual Sports Venue Design & Build Forum, which will offer the chance for
attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and guests to explore hosted networking events and programs on topics such as future
builds, venue technology innovations, best renovations, physical and cybersecurity issues.
Companies to see
Forward Associates
1 Placemaking is the art of placing public spaces at the heart of the community. It’s about creating buildings with soul.
It’s an ideal shared by venue strategists Forward Associates. The company’s 20-strong team has transformed the
guest experience across retail, hotels, conferencing, exhibitions, stadia and arenas. Between them, they have
masterplanned the future of the fan experience at the Wimbledon Championships. They have redefined the modern
arena at The O2 Arena in London, and they have plotted the retail empire of legendary shoemaker Manolo Blahnik.
Though every project is unique, the work of Forward Associates is simply expressed by its singular desire to connect
people to the places they share.
Iowa Rotocast Plastics
2 Iowa Rotocast Plastics, founded in 1986, remains an industry leader in rotationally molded ice merchandiser coolers.
Over the years, its product line has expanded to include refrigerated carts, custom fabricated kiosks, plastic and
wire display racks, vacuum-formed displays, and a variety of foodservice equipment. All of its products are shipped
straight from its manufacturing plant in Decorah, Iowa for quality control and customer satisfaction. With an in-house
custom tooling and graphic design capability, IRP’s mission is to turn ideas into reality.
Camatic Seating
3 For over 50 years, Australian based Camatic Seating has been an industry leader in the design, manufacture and
installation of ergonomic seating solutions for stadia, arenas, cinemas, theaters, educational institutions and transit
areas. Camatic Seating works with valued customers and partners to provide new seating for hundreds of projects across
the globe every year. Its major projects include the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Dallas Cowboys’
AT&T Stadium, Atlanta Falcons’ Mercedes-Benz Stadium, T-Mobile Arena and Wimbledon Centre Court, to name a few.
FanFood
4 Where sports, technology and food meet, FanFood’s purpose is to enhance the gameday experience through invenue
mobile ordering. The FanFood app enables fans to either order their concessions from the comfort of their
seat and get notified when their order is ready for pick-up, or to get concessions delivered directly to their seat. The app
helps take pressure off long concession lines, help grow business in a profitable manner by optimizing in-venue online
ordering performance and increase revenue for sports teams and concession operators. FanFood is a nationwide app
executing events on a daily basis through partnerships in the following sports segments: professional teams, collegiate
athletic programs, golf courses, high schools, international raceways, Minor League Baseball affiliates, and MLS clubs.
ParkMobile
5 ParkMobile is a provider of parking solutions in North America, helping millions of people easily find and pay for
parking on their mobile device. The company’s technology is used in over 3,000 locations across the country,
including seven of the top ten cities, as well as college campuses, airports and stadia. ParkMobile was recently named
by Deloitte as a Technology Fast 500 winner, recognizing the fastest-growing technology companies in North America.
