W ith ROE Visual’s solid
track record in the LED
display industry, the
stakes are high when it
comes to launching a new
product range. “ROE Visual is no unknown
player in the LED display industry,” says Glory
Gao, deputy sales director at the company.
“Since founder Jason Lu started the company
in 2006, it has grown into a world-leading LED
supplier in the events industry.”
Focusing on the demanding touring
market, ROE Visual was hence structured to
consistently deliver highly effective, safe and
reliable visual solutions. “That’s one of the
secrets behind our fast growth and success in
this market,” says Gao. “We have an unrivalled
market share in the touring market.”
Gao adds that the company is one of the top
three LED display manufacturers in terms of
exports year on year, and number one to the
USA. “ROE Visual is specifically tailored to be
able to answer its clientele’s exacting demands,”
she explains. “We have a considerable research
and development team, focused on continual
product improvement and innovation. With
more than 170 patents and 50 more pending,
we have proof of our innovative power.”
Support is key
Apart from a drive for innovation and high
quality, ROE Visual recognized at an early stage
that service and support are paramount in
building a brand. The company transferred its
service and support centers out of China early
on, and now has two large service and sales
organizations – one in California, USA, and
one in the Netherlands – with additional offices
in Hong Kong and the USA, and local sales
representatives based in France and Germany.
With this customer support system in place,
it is with confidence that ROE Visual embarks
on entering another market segment – it is
introducing products for the fixed installation
and AV integration market. ROE Visual
says its success in major touring events will
make it a valuable asset to any performance
venue, whether it is a brand new building or
undergoing refurbishment.
“The fact that we’re physically close to our
customers and markets makes it easy to react
in a timely manner to pending requests and to
translate these into solutions that fit,” says Frank
Montero, general manager for ROE Visual US.
“We’re in the same time zone and talking the
same language, making it easy to do business.”
“ROE Visual offers comprehensive technical
service,” adds Roelof Bouwman, general
manager for ROE Visual Europe. “Both the US
and European sites have a complete repair and
support department, with services ranging from
repairs and maintenance to on-site engineering
support. We never turn a customer down.”
Growing demand
Both Montero and Bouwman have noticed
growing demand for fixed installation products.
“We’re happy that with this new range of
products we can extend our services,”
comments Bouwman.
“We have already supplied to a range of
broadcast and TV and film studios as well as
houses of worship,” confirms Montero. “We’re
both extremely happy to add the expertise of
Gao to our team.”
Based on her extensive expertise, ROE
Visual invited Gao to head the team that would
investigate and roll-out a plan to enter the
global fixed installation market. “I have been
working on both rental and fixed installations
over the last 15 years, and have been involved
in many projects worldwide, from LED displays
to LCD kiosks and integrated digital signage
solutions,” says Gao.
“This move is mostly instigated by our
own clientele,” continues Gao. “With keen
