Audio played a key role in creating an immersive
journey through the secrets of the Sistine Chapel
A rtainment Worldwide Shows
presents Giudizio Universale –
Michelangelo and the Secrets of
the Sistine Chapel, a show
by Marco Balich, within the
Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, Italy. The
show is 60 minutes of pure immersion into 1508
Rome, following the story of the creation of the
Sistine Chapel, a masterpiece by Michelangelo
and other great artists of the time.
Giudizio Universale is not a traditional frontal
show; it is a multimedia journey that puts
spectators – seated in the rows of the Auditorium
Conciliazione – at its center. Technological
scenarios with 270° projections are integrated
with visual and musical content created by
Balich and the Worldwide Shows team, and
performances by dancers and other figures.
Reliable technological partners were needed to
develop the audio and video installations, which
bring the extraordinary show to life.
Efficient design
Many audio proposals were examined by the
production team, but its supervisor William
Geroli opted for that made by Bose Professional,
with Auris Populi as its partner for the
installation phase.
“Our choice fell upon Bose Professional’s
design as besides from the high quality of the
sound and pressure levels, their design was able
to achieve the immersive audio experience with
fewer audio points,” says Balich.
“Our goal was to create an immersive audio
installation that was perfectly integrated in a
high-resolution video setting embedded in the
fixed scenographic structure created for the
Roman auditorium,” explains Moreno Zampieri,
