architecture that provides complementary capabilities

dataHUB is an open standards-based
telemetry ground system with IRIG 106
Chapter 10 recorder, reproducer,
subscribing and publishing capability. The 1U
DataHUB provides up to eight 50Mbps PCM
channels, each of which are software
programmable as an input or an output. It
includes two 100kHZ analog channels, one
video channel and three SFP Ethernet
channels which are used for publishing ,
subscribing or data recording to NAS. An
internal GPS receiver is provided to seed the
internal time engines: IRIG-A/B/G, NTP and
1588v2 with Grandmaster capability.
DataHUB can simultaneously
record, publish and subscribe to external IRIG
Chapter 10 data streams. Utilizing its powerful
FPGA, the PCM, analog, video and Ethernet
channels are all processed, and time aligned
to provide Chapter 10 publish/subscribe, data
filtering/processing and IRIG 106 Chapter 7/
HDLC encoding/decoding. The stream is
recorded to two high-speed removeable
NVMe solid state hard drives (with a total
capacity up to 32TB) and/or publish the
stream over the Ethernet ports.
Being multi-disciplined, the DataHUB adds
Best Source Selection (BSS) in accordance
with IRIG 106 Chapter 2 Data Quality Metrics/
Data Quality Encapsulation (DQM/DQE). A 2U
version of DataHUB adds a signal expansion
card capability, increasing the PCM channel
counts to a total of 32, providing digital bit
synchronizers or adds capability to support
other high-speed busses.
The DataHUB core system is driven by a
system on a chip (SoC) and Linux and does
not require a Windows workstation for
operation. Command, control and status are
via external discretes, CLI (RS-232 or TELNET)
or a browser-based Graphical User Interface
(GUI). The DataHUB provides all the
capabilities that are needed in a modern
telemetry ground recording, reproducing and
data distribution station.
A modern instrumentation system
contains many potential sources of data,
including recorders, real-time streams and
other network-based instrumentation
devices. These sources generate massive
amounts of data. Managing all that data is
made easier with NetView Data Fusion and
Display. NetView provides real-time decoding,
processing, display and distribution from
multiple IRIG 106 Chapter 10 data sources and
network-based instrumentation systems like
DataHUB. It decodes, time aligns, processes
and displays multiple independent data
source types and formats in a single
processing and display environment.
To play back previously recorded data, the
user simply chooses one or many CH-10 files
and NetView will time align the data, search
them for indexes and events and even
automatically open displays, such as videos,
should they be part of the file. This playback
can be published to other NetView
workstations for display and analysis or
reproduced (PCM output) through the
DataHUB. Connecting to live streams is just as
easy – by opening the subscribe dialog box,
entering the IP address of the source or
sources, data will start to flow – NetView can
record or publish these live streams. TMATS
import and export is fully supported.
NetView provides real-time data displays
capability including; video, 2D/3D map, HUD,
text, XY plot, line graph, strip chart, etc. Raw
data displays provide the ability to drive down
into the word/bit level of PCM, 429, 1553 and
1394 data streams. Each display is easily
customizable with things like zoom, print,
pause, snap shot and dynamic colors.
A complete SDK extends NetView’s
capabilities allowing the user to develop their
own custom GUI displays and access the data
structure for end user defined decoders and
special processing of measurements. \\
