LED DISPLAYS
LEAN MANUFACTURING
ROE Visual implemented a lean production program in 2018,
making many improvements in manufacturing and assembly
efficiency, reducing the production cycle and standardizing
its already stringent quality control process. It is focused on
continuous improvement.
“The factory in Shenzhen clearly shows this immaculate eye
for detail and efficiency,” says Glory Gao. “From the assembly
to the exhaustive test protocols, the whole manufacturing process
is based on delivering best-in-class products. Every LED panel
that leaves our factory has been thoroughly tested, and that
translates into a high degree of reliability on the job.”

Our production is very keen on that. We measure
the dimensions of the housing, chassis and
frames for each and every one of our products.”
Two new launches
Adding to its extensive range, ROE Visual will
launch two additional products at InfoComm
2019, to be held in Orlando, Florida, on June
12-14. Jasper is a 500 x 500mm (19.69 x 19.69in)
indoor LED panel with a pixel pitch of either
2.6mm (0.10in) or 3.9mm (0.15in). Meanwhile,
Amber is a 600 x 337.5mm (23.62 x 13.29in)
panel which will be deliverable in four fine-pixel
pitches: 0.9375mm (0.04in), 1.25mm (0.05in),
1.5625mm (0.06in) and 1.875mm (0.07in).
The products are designed to offer reliable
quality and a multifunctional frame with energysaving
specifications. “We design the products
based on their application scope,” says Gao.
“These specific requirements lay the foundation
of the design. They include large viewing
angles, lightweight frames and anti-moiré
designs. That’s what customers and users
directly recognize.”
With installations for Disneyland, Star
Casino, Google, houses of worship and
film studios already accomplished, Gao is
confident the company will be supporting
more projects in the near future. n

understanding of project management, logistics
and implementation processes, we provide clients
with not only the right LED display solutions for
their projects, but with the comfort that these
will be delivered in time to perform flawlessly
at their event. ROE Visual is driven by a diverse
client base that demands efficiency, first-timeright
applications and innovative solutions.
High-profile clients – including Google, Apple
broadcasting studios and opera houses – contact
us on a regular basis.”
Based on that experience ROE Visual is
frequently asked to supply fixed installation and
bespoke projects. “Up until now we often had
to turn them down, because we didn’t have the
right products,” says Gao. “That set us thinking:
if we’re able to support the fast-paced, ‘ask today,
deliver tomorrow’ clients, we certainly have
the capabilities to support a crossover into the
integration and installation market.”
Crossover product
ROE Visual’s first crossover product was
the Sapphire SP1.5 series, introduced in
2018. “The Sapphire platform has proven
to be very competitive in the fine-pixelpitch
market,” says Gao. “The problem with
fine-pitch LED displays where the pixels are
less than 2mm/0.08in apart is that to avoid
visible seams between the panels, the products
have to be made with very low tolerances.
