New Holland has further developed its
Genesis series of tractors, introducing
a range of intelligent features as demanded by
today’s generation of farmers, who are hungry for
new technology.
e new Genesis T8 Series tractors have been
launched with a number of fresh features
including Precision Land Management (PLM)
Intelligence, which the manufacturer describes as
an, ‘intuitive precision farming platform.’
Following extensive research with customers
New Holland concluded that farmers wanted to
use their tractors more and to be able to increase
management e ciency through technology.
e response to these issues is the new
generation Genesis T8 which can adapt to
a farmer’s unique needs, and with new features
ranging from advanced connectivity and
customizable controls to improved visibility and
enhanced comfort.
Within the Genesis T8 tractor series are fourwheeled
models T8.350, T8.380, T8.410 and
T8.435 and two further tracked – SmartTrax –
versions of the T8.410 and T8.435 models. ese
are available with powershi (Ultra Command)
or CVT (Auto Command) transmissions and a
variety of speci cation options.

advanced traction from the rear tracks. Meaning
the machine can deliver full power turns, unlike
twin-track machines with no front wheels.
A further bene t of the wheels and
tracks combination is that it
delivers improved ride quality.
Since the two axles can react
independently to changing
contours in the eld, they
can e ectively absorb
them, eliminating the
see-saw motion of trackonly
machines,
improving comfort.
“ ere is the option of

track,” says David
Redman, New Holland Genesis T8
tractor product specialist. “ e tracks
put a wider footprint on the ground than wheels,
meaning less soil compression. e brake-tosteer
feature controls the rear track in a headland
turn scenario. Because we don’t steer like
a twin-track machine we don’t get the smearing
of soil or the bow waves on the headland. Using
the front axle to steer with a track machine gives
us the ability to use a di erential lock, again not
a feature of a twin-track machine.”
e space between tracks can also be varied
between 76in and 152in to ensure the perfect
width for any eld..
e new Genesis T8 Series is
powered by the 8.7-litre Cursor
9 engine developed by FPT
Industrial which meets
Stage V emissions
standards and uses the

a er-treatment system.
With a long service
interval of 600 hours the
FPT Cursor 9 should satisfy
the most demanding
customers looking for
maximum uptime.
“It’s our agship tractor range”
continues Redman. “ e product has been
developed to meet extending customer needs.
It brings in new features such as variable
ratio steering where the operator can set
the ratio between the amount of steering wheel
turns versus the lock-to-lock ratio. A brake-to-
