This quarter’s announcements from completion centres around the world
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
A head-of-state customer took delivery of
a BBJ 737-700 following a VVIP completion
by Aeria Luxury Interiors. The layout includes
a VIP bedroom and en-suite, including a bidet
and shower; office quarters including a
custom desk and six-zone massage seat.
Staff and club seating make up the aft
section, bringing total capacity to 26.
PERRYVILLE, MISSOURI
This West Star site now has an FAA Repair
Station Air Agency certificate, covering
maintenance, repairs and other services.
EAST ALTON, ILLINOIS
West Star announced its first aft canted
bulkhead modification for a Citation 680. The
work involves removal of the APU, heat shield
and containment structures, and the addition
of structural pieces to reinforce the bonded
assembly. In other news, ANAC authorised
the site to conduct maintenance inspections
and repairs on Brazilian-registered aircraft.
Meanwhile, with a new STC approval, West
Star can create baggage space in the aft
unpressurised area of the Falcon 2000.
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA
Comlux Completion welcomed Fernando Mas
Ph.D, formerly of Airbus, as its new chief
technology officer, and Adam White as head
of engineering. White has experience with
Gulfstream, Beechcraft and Bombardier.

CLEVELAND, OHIO
Constant Aviation and Nextant Aerospace
are joining forces to offer turnkey acquisition,
upgrade/completion and delivery of
customised 604XT aircraft to end buyers.
PETERBOROUGH, CANADA
Flying Colours completed a two-phase
project on a Global Express – retrofitting
the Honeywell Primus Elite flight deck and
installing Honeywell’s JetWave Ka-band.
BASEL, SWITZERLAND
AMAC Aerospace’s upcoming projects include
a Global 5000 refurbishment; a partial cabin
refurbishment and C3 check on a BBJ 737;
and a Ka-band installation on an ACJ319.
Other recent contracts for the company
include cabin modification and base
maintenance on a head-of-state BBJ 747;
updating cabin lighting on a Gulfstream GIV;
and a six-year inspection on a head-of-state
ACJ340 that will include full cabin removal
and a Ka-band installation.
HAMBURG, GERMANY
Lufthansa Technik is preparing for the first
head-of-state ACJ350 cabin conversion.
The aircraft is expected to arrive at the facility
in April 2020. The aircraft, operated by the
German government, will have office and
conference areas, a multifunctional lounge,
and space for delegations, plus washrooms
and a galley to cater for up to 150 people.
NUREMBERG, GERMANY
FAI Technik is to refurbish its third Learjet 60.
The cabin will have VIP seating for 7-8
passengers and internet service. The aircraft
should be available for sale from March 2020.
SCHNAITTACH, GERMANY
Refurbishment specialist Complete Aircraft
Services is now offering a three-year
warranty for its lacquer system, which
is designed to prevent cracks.
