The Legacy 450 shares its Embraer
DNA design and cabin cross-section
with the Legacy 500; its lower price
reflects its shorter length and range.
Whereas the maximum capacity on
the Legacy 500 is 12 passengers, the
Legacy 450 can accommodate nine.
The standard layout features a
forward refreshment centre, seven
club seats in one cabin zone plus an
additional row, with a private lavatory
and vanity with wardrobe and baggage
space. The club seats can berth into
two full beds. Customers can opt for
a side-facing two-seat divan or a wet
galley in the forward cabin.
The Legacy 450 features a lot of the
same equipment as the Legacy 500 –
including the digital flight controls, the
Upper Tech Panel, the IFEC and CMS
equipment, the new seat styles, and
the maximum cabin altitude.
The Legacy 500 was launched with
the Embraer DNA design, with special
attention paid to aspects such as
geometric dimensioning and tolerancing,
to create a quality feel. For example, trim
panels are attached with floating gaps
to allow for the normal flex of an aircraft
during flight, and to ease maintenance.
The aircraft also features the exclusive
Upper Tech Panel, a backlit touchscreen
panel integrating essential flight
information and lighting controls that only
appear as the display is touched – in line
with the aim to hide technology wherever
possible. IFEC equipment includes an HD
video system, surround sound, multiple
audio and video input options, a CMS,

and four options for voice
communications and connectivity.
The standard configuration features
eight fully berthing seats in two zones,
with a private lavatory and vanity with
wardrobe and baggage space, plus a
standard wet galley at the entryway.
Optional cabin features include a
side-facing or jump seat in front of the
galley and a three-place divan in the
second cabin zone.
Embraer added three new seat styles in
2018, along with improved pressurisation
– it is now 5,800ft (1,768m) at 45,000ft
(13,716m), with sea-level pressurisation
through 27,050ft (8,245m). Pilots benefit
from digital flight controls.
