Plating of Cibolo, Texas,
the company has launched a new
service to extend the care of
decorative plated parts for aircraft
owners, completion centres, MRO
facilities and OEMs. It has also forged
a strategic design alliance with one
of the industry’s premier design firms.
With SignaVantage, the company
will maintain the plating finish of
installed and in-service aircraft interior
parts for 3-5 years depending on each
client’s customised plan.
“Aircraft interiors are expensive and
are often unique to customers,” says
Zane Leake, vice president of sales.
“SignaVantage helps to extend the
interior’s ‘new’ look over time, with
periodic re-plating of high-use
and/or damaged plated parts.”
Signature Plating will re-plate parts
at no cost to the customer, regardless
of what the issue is – as long as all the
plating on board was originally provided
by the company. Removal, shipping,
re-installation and/or replacement
parts are not included in the service.
“As parts become worn from typical
use, they can be removed and returned
to Signature Plating to have the plating
restored to a new finish condition,”
explains Leake. “The SignaVantage
programme allows aircraft interiors
to always look their best.”
DESIGN PARTNERSHIP
In other news, Signature Plating is
partnering with Nikki Gledhill, CEO and
creative director of MBG International
Design. “Nikki is an accomplished
industry professional with a stellar
reputation for design and project
