Welcome to Critical
Communications Week!
TCCA Chief Executive Tony Gray offers a warm welcome to
those experiencing the new online event for the sector
Welcome to Critical Communications Week online! I am delighted that you are joining us for ve days
of innovation, designed to deliver knowledge, enhance expertise, catalyse business activity and
create new networking opportunities, all accessible from wherever you are in the world.
With circumstances preventing a physical conference and exhibition this year, a great deal of time
and effort has gone into creating this rst interactive event. The enthusiasm and encouragement that
we at TCCA and our event partners MA Exhibitions have received in bringing CCWeek to life has been incredible. We
know how much our annual Critical Communications World event means to the whole sector, so having to postpone
it and create CCWeek instead has been a steep learning curve, but the support throughout has been unwavering.
A huge thank you to all our speakers, panellists and session chairs for stepping up to the screen and taking the
time to either pre-record their sessions or present live, and to be available to take questions from the audience.
Please take a good look at the conference schedule, designed to cover a wide range of topics across the critical
communications ecosystem. Many will have live Q&A sessions immediately after the presentation so please take the
opportunity to learn from these experts and thought leaders in their eld.
Sincere gratitude also to all the sponsors and exhibitors supporting and participating in the event. We very much
hope this online environment will enable you to ‘meet’ many new people, create and extend business opportunities
and expand your contacts. A special thank you to Critical Communications Finland, which has brought together a
number of great Finnish companies to deliver a cohesive story of innovation. They will take the stage on Thursday 5
November – success in cooperation!
I would also like to take this opportunity to
thank all TCCA members for their support.
You are what makes the Association
what it is, and despite the restrictions
placed on us all by the pandemic, I am
immensely proud that TCCA’s members
and partners have managed to carry on
business as usual and advance the work
A great deal of time
and effort has gone
into the creation of this
rst, interactive,
CCWeek event
of the sector. We’re very grateful to the huge number of sel ess individuals, teams,
businesses and organisations who continue to drive our industry forward.
Coming back to the subject of CCWeek, while it’s clear that a virtual
event cannot truly replace a physical one, a huge bene t of cloudbased
conferences and exhibitions is that they provide the opportunity
for everyone to participate without worrying about travel or budget
restrictions. CCWeek is completely free to attend, so we are looking
forward to reaching a whole new audience from all around the
world who may not have had the chance to attend a critical
communications event before.
The CCWeek platform enables you to gain new contacts
across a range of innovative networking opportunities. So
please do take the time to make new connections. Our
event has been created by and for critical communications
professionals, so please make the most of your time here.
Also remember the content will be available for several months
after the event, taking us up to Critical Communications World
in Madrid from 8-10 June 2021.

Chief Executive, TCCA
