In a landmark step for the EV industry and Ferrari,
the purveyor of famed pure IC engines has unveiled
its fi rst ever hybrid vehicle, the SF90 Stradale.
There was a time when purists
would have laughed off the
idea of the Prancing Horse
going plug-in but, as rivals have
adopted the technology and shown the
performance benefi ts of battery power,
the Italian marque has followed suit
and combined three electric motors
to support a 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo
engine. The result is an output of
almost 1000ps, which is Ferrari’s most
powerful 8-cylinder ever and delivers
hypercar performance. Not only does
the SF90 Stradale silence the loudest
of doubters, it signifi es a paradigm
shift for the 90-year-old icon as it
keeps relevant with the fast-moving
automotive industry.
RANGE
A 7.9kWh li-ion
