“TO PROPEL ITSELF INTO THE
FUTURE, ZOOMLION MUST NOT ONLY
ADVANCE IN CHINA, BUT ALSO
INTERNATIONALLY”
Dr Zhan Chunxin, chairman, Zoomlion
Zoomlion
established
dry-mortar machines. Twelve
M-TEC products are now included
in the Zoomlion range, including
the Duo-Mix Connect, a mixingpump
coupled with a back-end
robot to facilitate 3D-printing of
mortar, for consistent stability,
strength and adhesion. According to
Dr Zhan, M-TEC enjoyed good
growth in 2019, while both
companies have bene tted from
technical integration and supplychain
synergy, and the partnership
has enabled Zoomlion to develop
key components forming the basis
of self-control in dry-mix machines.
“Dr Michael Meding is not only
CEO of M-TEC in Germany, but
one of our presidents in China as
well,” says Dr Zhan. “ ere’s a lot of
trust between everybody.”
Stronger as a team
“Acquiring and merging is a good
plan because we’re essentially
working together,” he says. “It’s a
win-win scenario for all involved.
A er twelve years with CIFA and six
with M-TEC, we’ve already become
old friends.”
Re ecting a stated corporate
ethos of kindness, beauty and love,
the success of Zoomlion’s
acquisition strategy has been built
on a policy of localisation: retaining
managers and putting faith in their
continued administration. “We have
never dispatched anyone from
Zoomlion corporate to manage
these companies,” Dr Zhan
emphasises. “We rely on local
people, local teams – and it’s been
going very well these last 12 years.”
Zoomlion intends to develop
localised manufacturing to promote
true immersion while continuing to
extend provision of its nance and
service operations, having launched
Zoomlion Finance Co. Ltd in 2015.
