Aeria Luxury Interiors’ Haven
concept for the BBJ 787 features
two lantern-style pendant lights,
suspended just above an island
bar in the galley. The lantern light
provides a residential aesthetic
while accommodating lighting
requirements and FAA rules.
The rectangular fixture features
frosted tubes housing LED
light sources. Slender support
structures connect the lantern to

the canopy, inspired by the chains
used to suspend chandeliers. The
cascading frosted diffusers are
interconnected for stability, and
fastened to the framework, which
is X-braced with thin tensioned
wires to control movement during
ground operation.
The satin champagne gold
plating and mirrored panels are
designed to reflect soft light in all
directions, for an elegant effect.
