AGRITECHNICA FLUID POWER
 BRAKES TO BE RELIED UPON
Developer of hydraulic systems for tractors
and trailers, Safim has designed different
 solutions complying with EU2015/68
 regulation, granting safety, easiness and
 convenience.
 The company’s AS Accumulator System
uses the pressurized oil stored in the accumulator during emergency
condition to activate the automatic braking. The benefit is shown in the
compactness of brake actuators that take a very limited space on trailers.
This system is suitable for those hydraulic brakes integrated on the hub too.
Equal Chamber System (ECS) brake actuators are combined cylinders
made up of two sections; one for service brake function and the other for
automatic and parking brake. The second section contains compressed
springs, providing the necessary output force to fulfill the EU2015/68
requirements. ECS is simple and effective, even considering the dimension of
the actuators might limit the application on certain trailers. Spring cylinder
collects the oil used for spring brakes release.
The Cylinder and Tank System (CTS) – like the ECS system – is fitted with
combined cylinders in the form of SL Line pressure releases spring brakes.
Unlike the ECS, once the emergency braking is applied – such as when
trailer-tractor disconnects – a separated tank collects the oil used to release
the spring brakes. This proves to be an easy to fit and cost effective solution.

 RUGGED HYDRAULIC CONNECTORS
 Phosphate, nitrogen, pesticides, cleaning
concentrates and lubricants, not to mention
water, dust and abrasive sand: This is just
a selection of substances and conditions that
may affect the function and lifetime of
 components in agricultural machines.
From an engineer’s point of view, these are
some of the toughest conditions for
 hydraulic equipment.
 At Agritechnica, Stauff will exhibit
 fastening and connecting components for
hydraulic lines that are especially designed
for these demanding conditions. Their zinc/
nickel surface coating does not only withstand
much more than 1,200 hours in the
 standard-compliant salt spray chamber test
(acc. to DIN EN ISO 9227) but even higher
levels of exposure to corrosive and
 aggressive substances.
Another highlight is the special service
offering to OEMs who manufacture agricultural
machines and attachments, such as tractors,
 harvesters, sprayers, mowers, ploughs or
harrows. The word-wide subsidiaries and their
authorised system partners use the Stauff
 Line approach to supply custom-designed,
 ready-to-install hydraulic lines (tubes and
hoses) from connection to connection, directly
at the point of production. With this service,
they create additional value and accelerate,
 the transformation of Stauff from
a components manufacturer to a systems
supplier, that is able to closely cooperate with
the hydraulics assembly of its customers.
