a complete control system and powerful platforms to
create a game presentation for Rangers fans that will
be second-to-none in all of baseball. We are looking
forward to bringing this game changer in the industry
to our fans and enhancing their experience at Globe
Life Field,” adds Morgan.
Live Clips is a dual channel multimedia broadcast
server designed for live productions. It’s built on a
broadcast hardware platform to deliver reliable clip
playback and attention-grabbing graphics using layers,
effects and transitions.
Camino, meanwhile, comes with a real-time render
engine to bring another level of control to the Rangers’
production room by allowing for non-linear, 2D and
3D template editing and server playout. This enables
real-time rendering of data-driven graphics a reality
for in-game productions at Globe Life Field.
With this easy-to-use, broadcast-ready control
solution, the Rangers have all the capabilities at their
finger tips to provide fans with an experience they
desire at a live environment that can match that seen
on their televisions at home. However, here they can
receive this visual experience and enjoy it further with
the unrivaled atmosphere of being inside a stadium
packed with fellow Rangers fans. Daktronics and its
new display system installation is enhancing that
atmosphere and experience at the new Globe Life Field
for the Texas Rangers and their fans. n
displays span more than 1,000 linear feet to provide
supplemental information to the main displays while
providing the opportunity to highlight sponsors
throughout the game without having to cut away from
the on-field advantage as on television. Another
advantage to the ballpark.
“The new home of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life
Field, will have the most comfortable seat in baseball,
and with this new technology from Daktronics, that
seat just got better,” proclaims Chuck Morgan,
executive vice president of ballpark entertainment
for the Texas Rangers.
Fans won’t just receive a better experience from the
action in the main seating bowl. They will also be
catered to in the concourses and suites with 1,400 LCD
screens located throughout the stadium. These displays
will present branding, live video, data, statistics and
more to people while they are away from their seats.
Also, riding the trend of newer and recently
renovated sports venues, the Rangers are adding a
video wall to their club area known as the Texas Sky
Porch. This display will connect with fans in that area
to create an additional area of engagement for the team
as fans arrive earlier and stay later in these social
spaces. Since fans are already leaving home to attend
the event, these areas encourage them to linger and
extend their gameday experience.
Production quality
Thanks to Daktronics integrated control solution, these
displays can be controlled from the same system as the
in-bowl technology.
