key areas of the stadium and grounds from locations
established by the venue operators threat assessment
personnel or consultant. Video analytics technology,
such as facial recognition, is beginning to be deployed
at all entrances (public and back-of-house) as well as
other security check points to potentially identify
known high-risk or blacklisted persons and instantly
alert security operators. The same system could also
notify hospitality operations to identify VIPs or
celebrities who could be immediately greeted and
assisted by a facility concierge.
New digital services require strong connectivity
with significant bandwidth capability. The demand for
wireless technology infrastructure continues to grow
to support capacity demands and anticipated growth.
The need for more technology infrastructure comes
as stadium architecture design is becoming more
innovative and complex. The challenge is to neatly
conceal the infrastructure, equipment and antennas
along with the electrical power and other support
structure required.
